Have an outline of a plan, donвЂ™t telegraph it too much, and approach corners somewhat deliberately. Like a poor doggo, if you just make the hand motion like youвЂ™re throwing a ball, those cars would chase after it. The trick is that the AI is pretty dumb and delayed in their actions. If you can do it without putting yourself in a bad position, itвЂ™s a good way to get a quick boost refill. You can take them down if you have the speed and the car for it, but this doesnвЂ™t really do much to thin the herd. Every other car is also a fast, tough as nails GT Nighthawk. Marked Man (yellow)- Like a race, you have to go from one place to another, but every other car is just there to kill you. It goes without saying, but tougher cars work well here. Laugh at that too, and find a repair shop. Then a hot rod comes out of nowhere and demolishes you when youвЂ™re at your most vulnerable. Then you get into the rhythm of things, you donвЂ™t notice a sharp turn coming up, and you fail spectacularly. Takedowns are intuitive enough but after you do this a few times, youвЂ™ll notice some soft spots that make you a ruthless killer. The secret to this mode is to go hard, laugh, and have fun. Use this flexibility to escape after a bad crash to avoid being a sitting duck trying to go a specific way. ThereвЂ™s no set route you just drive and cars spawn wherever you go. Other cars can take you down and after a set number of times based on the vehicle youвЂ™re driving, if you donвЂ™t repair by driving through an auto shop, itвЂ™s game over. Road Rage (red)- Slam into the other cars on the road to get takedowns until you reach a target score. The South Bay bridge, at the western end of the southern most road, has several big jumps in a straight line, a few billboards, plenty to give you a solid footing as you get to know the map. Knowing a few hotspots with straightforward, repeatable stunts makes these pretty easy. I think the road signs disappear when you start this mode as well. This one is tougher if youвЂ™re brand new and driving around aimlessly. When you crash or take too long to do another stunt, the combo ends. The bigger stunts also add to a multiplier you can continue adding to while in a single combo. Stunt Run (green)- jumps, drifting, barrel rolls, horizontal e-brake spins off of ramps, super jumps, and smashing billboards all add to your score. Drive through them to discover them, then hold both triggers to start. (Almost) every intersection is some kind of color coded event. If you just want to skim a few words of each section until something catches your interest, then jump straight into that, ignoring everything else, thatвЂ™s perfect. HereвЂ™s a brief summary and some thoughts on most elements of one of my all time favorite games. The game gives you the freedom to proceed however you want, scaling up difficulty as you complete events, making whatever you feel like doing a fine place to start or continue your journey. ItвЂ™s been mentioned in the sale thread and enough other times that itвЂ™s not always clear what youвЂ™re supposed to be doing right at the start, or what this game has to offer you.
